Hi! I am a 28 year veteran in the Fire Service in Georgia. I have been involved with Rope
Rescue Training for most of my career. During that time, I have anchored rope systems to vehicles over and over again,
using webbing or anchor slings to wrap the wheels, axles, or frames of apparatus and POVs. The results always worked,
but were time consuming and dirty.
Many years ago a dear friend and colleague in the Fire Service shared this idea
with me. Brant Chesney was his name and he was killed in a collapse in December of 1996. This simple idea kept
circulating in my brain through the years.
Just recently during a casual conversation with a friend, who owns
a metal fabrication business, the remote idea came to surface and soon was birthed. I am excited to offer this handy
anchoring device to rescue personnel. It eliminates the need to sling wheels, axles, and frames of vehicles. No
more grease on rescue slings!
Many rescue trucks are built with two inch receivers for winch attachment on all sides of the rig.
The Instant Anchor plugs into those receivers to provide a handy and flexible anchor system.
My hope is that this tool
will simplify Rescue Rigging and save precious moments when the "Golden Hour" is ticking away.
I give credit to Brant
for the idea and praise to God for allowing me to create this tool that will save time and lives.
